Copyrights
This page explains the rights in material submitted to trans-gov.net (the "Platform"), operated by May Adelaide ("the operator"). It forms part of, and should be read with, the Terms of Service.
1. The license you grant
By submitting any content to the Platform — text, links, images, or anything else — you grant the operator a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and unrestricted license to host, store, copy, reproduce, adapt, translate, display, publish, distribute, moderate, and otherwise use that content, in whole or in part, on and in connection with the Platform and its purposes, and to permit others to view it.
This license is irrevocable and survives the closure, suspension, or deletion of your account. Deleting your account does not withdraw content you have already submitted (Except for your picture).
2. You give up control over the content
Once your submission has been reviewed and approved, you have no right to:
- decide whether other users or the public may see it;
- restrict, hide, or limit its visibility;
- demand its removal, alteration, or return — assuming the data is true ; or
- place any condition on how the operator uses it.
Whether content remains published, is edited, or is removed is decided by the operator alone. Nothing in this page limits the operator's right to remove content under the Terms of Service.
3. What you are agreeing to
Submit nothing you are not prepared to hand over for good. The moment you submit it, it is out of your hands: you do not own how it is used here, you cannot take it back, and you cannot decide who sees it. If that is not acceptable to you, do not submit it. Your submissions must still be truthful, as required by the Terms of Service. Submitting falsehoods is a breach of these terms and grounds for removal of the content and have your account flagged.
At the end, the operator is the one in control and the one that is responsible for anything on this website.
4. Facts and public information
Much of what appears on the Platform is factual or publicly available information. Facts are not owned by anyone. The license above applies to the material you submit and to the form in which you submit it; it does not, and cannot, create private ownership of underlying facts. This does not affect the operator's control over what is published on the Platform, which is governed by sections 1 and 2.
5. Third-party material
Where a submission includes or links to material from another source, that source's own rights may apply to it. Such material is included for the Platform's public-interest and referral purposes. If you hold rights in material that appears here and believe it should not, contact the operator at transgov@trans-gov.net; see also the correction and removal process in the Terms of Service.
