Terms of Service

Last updated: July 10th 2026

“trans-gov.net” (the "Platform") is operated by May Adelaide ("the operator"). By accessing or contributing to the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose

The Platform exists to collect, organize, and preserve publicly available information and evidence about individuals, so that it can be documented and referred to the police and other appropriate authorities. Its purpose is the recording and orderly presentation of public-interest information for referral to law enforcement. An entry records information and evidence; it is not a verdict.

2. The operator takes responsibility

Every entry is personally reviewed and approved by the operator before it is published. The operator stands behind the content published on the Platform and does not disclaim responsibility for it. Any question, dispute, correction request, or inquiry — including from law enforcement or from a person named on the Platform — should be directed to the operator at transgov@trans-gov.net.

3. Who may use the Platform

The Platform may be read by anyone. There is no age restriction on viewing or, in principle, on contributing. A contributor under the age of 18 may register and submit information only with the knowledge, presence, and consent of their parent or legal guardian.

4. Submissions must be truthful and verifiable

You are responsible for the truthfulness of everything you submit. Only submit information you believe to be true and can support with evidence. Rumor, guesswork, and unsupported claims are not acceptable.

Every submission must be backed by preserved, independently checkable evidence. You are expected to capture and include your sources so the information cannot later be denied, altered, or taken down by its subject.

Preferred methods:

  • an archived copy of each source page saved to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine (web.archive.org); and
  • a full-page forensic capture produced with a tool such as Evidence Collector, which records the page together with its metadata.

Include the archive link and the forensic capture with your submission. Submissions without verifiable evidence (and the 2 methods) will be rejected.

5. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not submit, upload, or link to any content that:

  • is knowingly false, or is posted maliciously or to harass, intimidate, or retaliate;
  • sexualizes, endangers, or identifies a minor, or constitutes child sexual abuse material;
  • contains threats of violence, incitement, or calls to harm any person;
  • discloses information whose publication is prohibited by law or court order;
  • publishes another person's private identifying information beyond what is reasonably necessary to the report's public-interest purpose (for example, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, medical records, or a private home address where it serves no legitimate purpose);
  • infringes intellectual-property or contractual rights; or
  • contains malware, or is used to attack, probe, or disrupt the Platform.

You must not use the Platform to stalk, dox for harassment, or coordinate harm against any person.

6. Entries concern adults

Entries may only document adults — persons who are 18 or older. Do not submit identifying information about anyone under 18, even if you are under 18 yourself. A concern involving a minor should be taken directly and privately to the police or the appropriate child-protection authority (Making sure you use the methods provided and if you’d like, the schematics of the database to help you aggregate the information needed), which can act on it without the minor's identity being published. This restriction applies no matter who is submitting.

7. Review and moderation

No submission is visible to the public until the operator has reviewed and approved it. The operator may edit, decline, delay, label, or remove any submission at their discretion, and may suspend or remove any account.

8. Corrections and right of reply

A person named on the Platform, or their authorized representative, may write to transgov@trans-gov.net to dispute or correct information about them, or to provide a response. Such requests are reviewed in good faith, and information shown to be false or unsupported is corrected or removed. Please identify the entry and the basis for the request.

9. License to content you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, and publish your submission on and in connection with the Platform, and you grant readers the right to view it.

10. Cooperation with authorities

The Platform is intended to support referral to law enforcement. The operator may provide submissions, evidence, and related records to the police or other authorities.

11. Privacy

Information collected to run and moderate the Platform — including a contributor's email address (Which is hidden for obvious reasons) and verification photograph — is used to operate the Platform and verify accounts, and is retained while an account is active and as needed to address misuse. Approved contributions are, by design, publicly viewable.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Platform.

13. Changes

These Terms may be updated. Changes take effect when posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Contact

All inquiries, disputes, and correction or removal requests: transgov@trans-gov.net.
